Msgr. Philip J. Reilly holds a Degree in Philosophy and History from Immaculate Conception College and Seminary in New York; a Degree in Theology from Catholic University of America in Washington D.C.; A Master’s Degree in the Classical Languages from Fordham University School of Arts in New York City : a Doctor of Science from the oldest and well known State University School of Medicine in Eastern Europe located at Tyrnava in Slovakia. Msgr. served for five years as a parish priest in St. Thomas More and St. Teresa of Avila Parishes and for twenty six years as Professor, Academic Dean, Rector of Immaculate Conception College, Prep Seminary for the Diocese of Brooklyn, New York.
By 1989 Msgr. realized since we were now living in a Culture of Death, that beyond changing the Laws and Judges, the most pressing need was to change the hearts of people to reestablish a Culture of Life. And since only God can change hearts, the
emphasis was to take God seriously and the intercessory power of the Mother of God. And so on the Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary on Oct. 7th 1989, God used Msgr. to give birth to the Helpers of God’s Precious Infants, Inc. Msgr. remains today the Executive Director of this now World Wide Apostolate for Life.
During February of 2006, Monsignor Philip J Reilly visited Cape Town. This inspired the formation of a local chapter of the Helpers of God’s precious infants. Monsignor Reilly led the first large prayer vigil to the Marie Stopes abortion centre in central Cape Town.
This foundational walk was recorded and is presented in the following video…
